COVID Protocol
There is more detail in the booking system but I want to stress that we will be following the exact same guidelines, procedures and protocols with regard to COVID that the school have been. Mr Ashman will be there each day and the other lead coach will be an experienced member of our team who will receive a full induction to the systems and protocols at the school site.

We are working with Tanfield to finalise some documentation around the holiday course which will be sent to all participants prior to the camp starting.

Ratio - to make this camp as safe as possible we have decided to reduce the ratio to 1 lead coach to 10 children with an option to increase depending on. We will have 2 lead coaches at the session so there will be a limit of 20 places available each day. If this number is exceeded then a waiting list is automatically created. In this time we will attempt to secure another suitably qualified member of staff. If there is a day when we have a larger amount of younger or older children we will be able to make groups suitable...for example 1:12 for older children and 1:8 for the youngest children.
CNS – Parent Information Sheet
Parent Checklist;
-indoor and outdoor clothes
- trainers (and boots if preferred for football)
- shin pads are advised
- water bottle
- packed lunch (with packaging children can open
- hand sanitiser (we will have some with us but better if each child has their own)

Before coming to camp we ask you to ensure the following:-
• Take your child’s temperature to using a digital thermometer or do a ‘feel’ test to ensure they don’t have a temperature: https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/accidents-first-aid-and-treatments/how-do-i-take-someones-temperature/
• If your child is unwell in any way, then they must not attend
• If anyone in your house has any possible symptoms related to Covid-19, your child can’t attend
• Ensure your child wears clean clothes each day
• Get your child to go to the toilet just before leaving the house
• Ensure your child washes their hands thoroughly before leaving the house
• Please make sure your child can manage all of their clothing
• All packed lunch/clothes/trainers must be inside of one bag
• Bring a labelled water bottle full of water – the coach will replenish this where needed from a clean jug
• Packed lunch –children should only bring things they can open themselves. If they need cutlery for anything in their packed lunch, please make sure your child brings their own as they will not be able access cutlery.

Arrival and Departure at camp:
 Enter and leave via the main entrance car park between 8.50-9am
 Only one adult to come on to the grounds with their child, no pets.
 Walk through the main entrance/centre to drop children off being mindful of others, keep to 2m
 Once they have entered camp they’ll wash their hands
 You, the adult, will then leave taking the same route that you entered camp but ensuring your distance from others at all times
At home time:
 Please enter camp in the same way you did in the morning – come between 2:45 - 3:00 (If you are here earlier, please wait well away from the camp gates/centre and only enter the grounds at 2:45)
.
All children must:
• Maintain social distancing at all times – in camp and walking to and from camp
• All children will have to follow coach instructions. If they can’t, and they put others at risk, then we may have to say that they cannot be at camp

Illness within the bubble
If anyone (adult or child) within in the bubble has symptoms of the virus they must go for a test and we will contact Public Health to seek guidance with regard to the rest of the children and adults in that bubble.

Unfortunately, parents will not be allowed in either building at any time, unless in the case of an emergency. If you need to contact camp you will need to do so in the usual way – either by phone if you need to inform us of something that day, or by email.

If your child is absent for any reason then again, you need to inform us in the usual way via the CNS page.

Track and Trace – we have details to support the track and trace system if this is required

Site and Equipment Cleaning – this will be done in line with facility/school/governing body standards

Pen/Pencil – there could be some lunch time activities which involve writing, we can give your child a pen to keep but it would be better if they have one in their bag each day.

In/Out – when children leave and enter the building they will wash their hands. We will have handwashing facilities and hand sanitiser available but we encourage children to bring their own sanitiser.

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Thank you for your support in preparing children for each day they attend.
